Iran Aims for $53 bn Exports

Director General of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said for increasing exports levels the existing approaches should be changed.

Iraj Masoumi reported changing approaches, creating specific mechanisms, and evolving in areas related to exports increase are on the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran's agenda.



He put emphasis on organizational reforms in various aspects, going on to say that success in exports requires the national determination of all society's groups and changing approaches to enter and participate seriously, plus all ministries' revolutionary measures and management.



Masoumi highligted that Iran's export of goods abroad has been aimed for 53 billion dollars in the current year (96, Iranian year), adding in the first seven months of the year 25 bn USD was earned through exports.



"At the present, 23 thousand billion rials from National Development Fund's credits has been deposited in operating banks and it is going to be allotted 46 thousand billion rials overall to exporters with 14 percent- interest rate", Director General of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said.



It is worth noting that North Khorasan's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture has attained the permit of joint chamber with Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
