Iran, Australia to develop banking cooperation

Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Akbar Komijani stressed for development of banking and trade cooperation with Australia during talks with Australian ambassador.

Regarding banking cooperation Komeijani said that financial and banking relations is the first step to develop trade cooperation. “Iran and Australia have the needed potential to have financial and banking cooperation and we hope that this will happen” he said.
The Australian ambassador, Ian Biggs  said that we are trying to increase the financial relations between the two countries and it is necessary to increase the volume of trade between two countries.
scheduled meetings was set between the heads of the central banks, ministers of economy, industry and agriculture of the two countries to find some ways to use financial channels within the framework of international laws and regulations.
