Shanghai Treaty has provided a good opportunity for government to expand its relations with East and make better use of opportunity to cooperate with its neighbors and eastern countries, and also to remove dollar from its exchanges by expanding economic relations and agreements with members of Shanghai Treaty and reduce effectiveness of sanctions more.
IBENA- Undoubtedly, one of most important actions of current government in field of diplomacy is realization of Iran's permanent membership in Shanghai Treaty. An action that has given a good opportunity to government to expand its relations with East and increase its share in its exchanges of more than 9 billion dollars with countries that are members of this Treaty.
As the host of Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan on Wednesday, 23 September, President of Uzbekistan, Shaukat Mirziyoyev, announced Iran's full membership in this Treaty. Considering that one of issues raised in this summit is creation of Shanghai single currency and cooperation of Shanghai members in neutralizing sanctions, this action has great importance.
