IBENA- Iranian Statistics Center published the results of the summer 1401 workforce census plan. Examining unemployment rate of 15 aged people and older shows that 8.9 percent of active population (employed and unemployed) were unemployed. Examining changes in unemployment rate indicates that this index has decreased by 0.7 percentage points compared to the same season in previous year (summer 1400) and by 0.3 percentage points compared to previous season (spring 1401).
Growth of Employed Population
Employed population of 15 years and older in this season was 23,779,000 people, which is an increase of 374,000 people compared to same season last year and about 201,000 people compared to last season. study of employment in major economic sectors showed that in summer of 1401, service sector accounted for the largest share of employment with 50.4 percent. industry sectors with 33.8 percent and agriculture with 15.8 percent are in next level.
unemployment rate of 15-24 years old youth indicates that 23.0 percent of activists of this group were unemployed in the summer of 1401. Examining the seasonal changes in unemployment rate of these people shows that this rate has decreased by 2.7 percentage points compared to the same season in previous year (summer 1400) and by one percentage point compared to the previous season.
Reducing youth unemployment rate
investigation of unemployment rate of 18 to 35 years’ group also showed that in the summer of 1401, 16.2 percent of the active population of this age group were unemployed. Meanwhile, seasonal changes in unemployment rate of these people show that this rate has decreased by 1.4 percentage points compared to summer of 1400 and by 0.4 percentage points compared to last season.
